fall-fashion-trends-2021

We know it’s still summer but we’re already looking ahead. We haven’t yet gotten to the days of crisp air, fallen leaves, and heavy sweaters - but that doesn’t mean we can’t start talking about it!

Long Sweater Necklaces

Sweater weather means sweater necklaces that are long and layered. Stand-out colors and large pendants will be a style staple. Fall’s pendant trend is about getting noticed wearing pieces on a larger scale.

Chunky Chains

Fall trends will include shiny metal chains peeking through the collar of flannels. Large links are worn over turtlenecks. Designers are displaying colored and shaped chain links like you’ve never seen before.

Retro Oversized Sunglasses

We’re obsessed with the large plastic frames that our Grandma used to wear. Designers are giving the trend their moment. We’ve seen them appearing on celebrities and the runways. In lieu of slim metal frames, shades that are bigger and better are key. Ultra-thin and novelty sunglass designs also spike in popularity but as they are harder to pull off, these sunglasses enjoys popularity in niche young fashionistas.

XL Bangles and Cuffs

In keeping with the bigger is better theme, we are seeing huge bangles and cuff bracelets.  We’ve seen them worn over the sleeves of blouses and blazers. Textures will be key. Both the crushed metal look and shiny luxe metals are in.

Shimmery Chandelier Earrings

Long statement earrings that are super-sparkly will be a necessity for your fall style. Think shoulder dusting fringe in metals and rhinestones. Ones that swing and add movement.

Stacked Rings

Mixed metal rings are in. Wear bold statement rings alone on each finger. Or use the styling trick of stacking minimal styles to create your own dramatic look.

After last season's work-from-home looks, fashion styles are stepping up! Designers know that after last year's lockdown, people will want to dress to impress. Even the simplest outings are a reason to pile on the accessories. Optimistic & Glamorous will be the theme this fall.
